麻豆社 Fox University respects your privacy and protects the information you provide to us. This policy provides relevant information about how the university handles information shared with us by the public.
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to let you know the types of personal information we collect, how we use and protect this information, your rights to ensure proper management of this information, and how to contact us.
This policy applies to anyone who provides personal information to GFU, who authorizes GFU to obtain data from third parties (e.g., Common Application), or who accesses GFU websites.
Scope
麻豆社 Fox University (GFU) is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party sites, including those to which GFU’s websites link and those that link to GFU’s websites. For your own protection, you should review the policies of other sites to ensure they meet your personal privacy expectations.

Definitions
- GFU is an abbreviation used for 麻豆社 Fox University for clarity
- Personal information means information that identifies a particular individual, such as the individual’s name, postal address, email address, and telephone number. When anonymous information is linked with personal information, the resulting information also is treated as personal information.
- Aggregate Information means information that is not personally identifiable information and includes, but is not limited to a user’s internet protocol (IP) address, website/page traffic and other statistics, and broad demographic data.
- Cookies means small text files placed on your device when you visit a website that contains non-personally identifiable information about your device and your use of the website. Cookies are small files inserted automatically on the hard drive of a Website visitor by the Website visited.
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII) means data that contains information that can be associated with or traced back to an individual visitor. PII includes, for instance, a visitor’s name, address, and phone number.
Information Collection
We collect personal information that you send to GFU or that you permit us to obtain from third parties in order for the University to fulfill its mission. The types of personal information we collect depend on the extent to which you either provide personal information directly to GFU, or you use or participate in GFU’s programs, activities, events, or you are a consumer of GFU’s goods or other services. Generally, you will know what personal information you provide to GFU because you or others acting on your behalf voluntarily provide it.
We also collect information from you when you access GFU’s website. Among the tools used for this purpose are Google Analytics, cookies, and logging. These help us understand website use and how it can be improved to better serve you. To do so, it collects information about the computer, mobile device or other device you use to access the website such as city-level geolocation data, device type, browser type and version. In addition, it can help us log information such as the date and time of a visit to the website, web pages visited, and the elements interacted with on the page. We will not upload any personal information to Google Analytics that would allow Google to personally identify an individual.
Information Use
We use the information that you send to GFU to serve you and our mission. General purpose uses of the information you provide include to: personalize your online experience when using this website, process your applications and registrations and then administer and improve our programs and services, answer your questions and fulfill your requests, recruit and promote - including soliciting donations and contacting prospective students, comply with applicable law, and conduct statistical and forensic analysis.
If you opt for us to reach you via mobile text message, your carrier’s rates for messages and data may apply. To stop receiving messages through this channel you can respond STOP. If you need more help you can respond HELP.
When information is stored for these uses, it is protected through a variety of technical and procedural measures in an effort to prevent misuse and unauthorized access. GFU adheres to all applicable provisions of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
Information Sharing
GFU does not sell, rent, or lend your personal information to any third parties for their use in direct marketing, advertising, or promotion of their products or services or for revenue generation. This includes mobile device information.
GFU regularly relies on external partners and agents of the organization to help deliver its mission. In cases where anonymized information is sufficient for external partners and agents to fulfill their obligations for us to deliver our services, this is what is provided. In cases where it is necessary to share personal information, we expect their policies to protect your information at least as well as our own.
